WHAT IF I’M NOT FLEXIBLE?

This is one of the most common misconceptions that prevent people from coming to yoga class. Yoga is not about how flexible you are.  It is about conforming to the pose with your own abilities and knowing your limitations. With practice your flexibility will increase.

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS?

Yoga postures increase endurance, flexibility, strength, and will power.  Regular practice 3 times a week can reduce stress, chronic diseases, and weight.

IS THE TEMPERATURE OF THE YOGA STUDIO IMPORTANT?

Yes. The room should be kept warm so the body heat is not lost into a cold room. The combination of the heat and the yoga postures allow deep changes to take place, helps prevent injuries, and increases flexibility.

WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE FOR YOGA?

Try not to eat 2 to 4 hours prior to class (eating may cause cramping and nauseousness).

Drink at least 64 oz of water a day

Wear fitness clothes.

Bring a yoga mat, large, and small towel.

DO YOU PROVIDE YOGA MATS?

Yes, we provide yoga mats, free of charge, but it is best to bring your own. Note: Do not use a sarong on  our yoga mats.  When you sweat on the sarong there is a chance that it will stain the mats.
